On Wednesday, April 3, students and staff visited Hedgerow Theater to experience a modern staging of William Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Kids were delighted to recognize actors they had seen in previous Hedgerow performances. Several of our students wanted front row seats to be in “the splash zone”.
Everyone was on the edge of their seats throughout the show; they enjoyed the stage fighting, use of the balcony and aisles, and the music, the actors’ choices, and much more! Several of our students engaged in the actors’ question and answer session at the conclusion. They were curious, appreciative, and very polite. Any chance that TCS can experience Shakespeare, we take!
